The Fight

just a thought

As hard as it may be for some of us to understand, perhaps the fight is the point. The issue being fought may have little to do with much of anything. It's the fight that matters. It's the perceived enemy that gives meaning and purpose.

Suppose for a moment we could remove the need for fighting altogether. What if we could find a way to connect with one another without needing to create an enemy? Imagine a world where we didn't have to fight to feel alive or to feel like we belonged.

Perhaps it's possible to redirect a desire for conflict towards something more productive, like solving problems or pursuing shared goals. Maybe the fight doesn't have to be the point and we can find deeper meaning, purpose, and connection without needing to create enemies...the other.

However, until we reach that point, we need to understand that fighting has consequences. Violence and aggression can harm others and the fight can quickly escalate into something destructive. It's important to find healthy ways to express our desire for challenge and competition while avoiding unnecessary harm.
