The Easy Trap

Nothing is easy so stop expending energy trying to find an easy way.

Easy is a trap we set for ourselves. There are things, tasks, jobs that take longer to finish and those that can be completed quickly, but easy is a trap. We often spend more time trying to find an easier way for this or that when had we put in the work doing the actual thing rather than searching for easy we'd be done with it already.

Given that nothing is easy, simply pick something and start. Pick the hard thing that interests you the most and go for it.

In the end, what makes a thing hard is not the thing itself. It is more often than not our ability or inability to muster the mental fortitude to get good at the hard thing.
