Tempo-Rhythm & Asker Types

nonprofit fundraising

Last week I wrote about the five types of nonprofit askers I work with most often.

The five basic types are:

  1. Transactional
  2. Emotional
  3. Just Do It
  4. Unicorn

These five types of askers have a lot to do with the asker's personal tempo-rhythm. Every asker has a specific tempo-rhythm, a cadence. Guess what? Every prospect does too.

When we create asker portfolios it's a good idea to consider tempo-rhythm. In doing so, portfolio assignment in part, become a matter of matching askers and prospects with similar tempo-rhythms.

If we decide to match up an asker and prospect who have opposite tempo-rhythms, we should be doing so for a specific reason or outcome.
