Learn gratitude

Superpower Skill

asking communication nonprofit fundraising Feb 09, 2021

One of the most valuable skills you can have, or learn, or teach yourself is to show gratitude in your own uniquely personal way. Learn to say thank you. Learn to say I'm grateful. Learn to say I appreciate you. Be proud to say it. Allow yourself to express these feelings freely and often.

This skill is clearly important for the nonprofit fundraisers I work with. Part of the donor stewardship process is offering a warm thank you to supporters. Of course, it is equally important for anyone in any industry or anyone in no industry at all.

Showing gratitude is without question one of the most powerful skills you can have. Go ahead. Flex your gratitude muscle. It's your superpower.
