What helps you stay present with your prospects? During a visit what anchors you in the present moment? What techniques do you use that help you place and keep your prospect center stage?

When we find a way to stay completely focused on our fundraising prospect, we are taking the focus off of ourselves which allows us to relax into the moment, ease into connection, and make the experience more enjoyable for all involved. Because it's no longer about you, it's all about your prospect, you are better able to attend to their wants, their needs.

Keeping your prospect front and center and putting yourself at ease may be as simple as saying out loud to yourself prior to the visit, "This isn't about me. I'm going to offer my prospect complete consideration and in doing so she will take center stage. I am here simply to serve her needs."
