For nonprofit askers it's wise to be sure your main intentions are to make others as comfortable as possible, to be certain they know they are being heard, to grasp fully what they are sharing.

In other words your primary intention is to connect truthfully, authentically, and meaningfully with those you engage with.

Connecting meaningfully, making others comfortable, listening mindfully, and grasping fully are right intentions. Intentions you should have with everyone you encounter especially your fundraising prospects.

If you don't regularly remind yourself of them, it's easy for intentions to get lost in the busyness of life.
