New Work Appropriate

Somewhere along the line we're taught that certain things are and other things aren't acceptable at work. Folks who work at nonprofit organizations are not immune to this well-meaning but misguided advice.

When we're hard at work promoting and supporting the mission of our organizations, we can speak truthfully yet kindly, react authentically yet respectfully, share vulnerability yet remain appropriate, show empathy yet maintain focus.

Behavior is all about intent and good intent that benefits most - if not all - is near impossible to fake.
