Stick to the Plan

just a thought

"Stick to the plan man" is something I say to myself each and every day. It helps me remember the plan I've laid out for myself is leading me to the absolute correct destination. It helps me work my plan and stay on track with my goals.

When we're working toward an objective we can get anxious to see the end result of our hard work. This is natural, but patience certainly is a virtue when it comes to successfully achieving a goal.

Eagerness (okay maybe over eagerness) to see the final product is something I certainly struggle with as I work on my goals. The five strategies below help me deal with my impatience when it crops up.

  1. Learn to enjoy the process.
  2. Set milestones and celebrate them.
  3. Track the amount of time spent on goals.
  4. Connect with others who have similar goals.
  5. Make time, even if only a couple minutes, to work the plan every day.

Sticking to the plan is not always easy. When we get anxious we tend to fast forward to the end perhaps before we're ready. Hopefully these five suggestions help you stay focused, on target, and stick to the plan.
